Silk Way 2010
The second edition of the Silk Way rally finished on September 18, 2010 in Sochi - city hosting the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
In 2010 renowned sportsmen took part in the Silk Way rally. Among them are pilot Franz Echter and navigator Detlef Ruf, legends of Dakar. The racers started in the private Maurer-MAN Mototrsport Performance (MMMP) team on the race truck MAN TGS 18.480 4x4 in Category T4.2. The race truck was constructed by Toni Maurer GmbH und Co.KG, an official partner of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG. MAN technical support team headed by Denis Maslennikov provided round-the-clock service for all the MAN trucks involved in the project.
